Kathy has worked in health care since 1983 in a variety of settings including end of life care, bereavement, and adolescent/adult mental health. Her interest is in listening as well as teaching skills to alleviate the pain of grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, etc.. She became a licensed Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2012 so she can prescribe psychiatric medications if needed. She enjoys working together with a medical team to provide holistic support for her patients. Those who know Kathy say she is warm, friendly, and easy to talk with.
Outside of work Kathy loves traveling, working with wood, outdoor adventuring, making new friends, and she is excited about learning to grow fruit trees since she has lived in Alaska for the past 21 years where growing fruit trees is only a dream. She is married with 2 grown children and one grandson.
